The Founder

Andrew Hoyos is the owner and principal consultant of Hoyos Consulting LLC. Andrew has been in the IP networking field for over 15 years, with experience working for a number of service providers, enterprise, higher education and government clients. Andrew previously held a senior IP network engineering position with Fortune 500 telecommunications provider, with ILEC and CLEC markets in 30 states. Additionally, Andrew worked for Xiocom Wireless, a global provider of integrated wireless networks as a senior level network engineer/architect, as well as a number of mid-to-large sized enterprise organizations in the Wisconsin area, providing expert level network design and architecture. Andrew is an active participant in industry groups, like NANOG, and also participates yearly in building one of the world’s largest temporary networks, the InteropNet. Andrew is also a co-founder of the Milwaukee Internet Exchange. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, home-improvement projects, and spending time on the water.
